    Wrapping hands... help!!!

    Hey guys,
So recently, I got 108 inch wraps (old ones tore). And now I can't find a good way to wrap my hands. I tried the youtube tutorials, but they all feel as though they don't provide enough protection for my knuckles when i wrap up my hands. ... Help please!

Are you a small child? If not get 180 inch wraps at least, then wrap them according to the tutorials you see. 108 is too short, those are for kids.

lmao no, I am not. I didn't look closely at the size when I got the wraps...Only noticed they were 108 when I tried wrapping my hands for the first time with them.

So there is no good was to wrap your hands with them?

Oh yeah, and I already know how to wrap hands haha

Well...if you want that "lacking" feeling then sure lol.

The reason they dont feel right is because they're too small you're not getting enough compression...

How long does it take you to wrap your hands?

Me personally I'm slow and take about 4 minutes to get em all done lol

It really depends how well I decide to do them. If I know that I'm going to be sparring or doing some really hard rounds on the heavy bag, I'll wrap them extra well which probably takes around three or four minutes. If I'm just shadow boxing and doing a few light rounds on the heavy bag, I'll wrap them a bit sloppier and quicker which would probably take a minute or two.

Hand wraps and footwear should be "perfect" everytime you apply them!
They should be sanitary and in perfect condition without flaws! Ray.

I've gotten pretty quick at them, only takes me a couple minutes. Though i still make sure they are tight enough for me so they won't slip and there are no wrinkles. When i'm done training I take them off and wring them out in the shower then just hang dry them on my curtain rack and boom, ready for the next day

You can find a video of a good method on expertboxing, I like that method and have been using it every day since I learned it. also, the point of wrapping your hands is not solely to protect your knuckles. They are there to secure your fist and keep it tight so that you don't break any of those little bones in your hands (which trust me, is a *****). If you want to protect your knuckles get some good gloves for starters, and also you can put some padding in your wraps on top of your knuckles and see if that helps you more.
