yes its normal and it sucks, but sparring shouldnt be that hard, only the real fight should be, imo, other people have other opinions on sparring

i get from time to time but usually only happens when i get hit with a big shot then everything goes black and after that the rest of the day is a blur i can talk to people normally but i will forget what i said and what they were talking about. one of the reasons why i got full face headgear so i get really no more headaches during sparring

yeah this has happened to me twice. The first time, I was knocked the f*** out in the 6th round of sparring. I couldn't remember a damn thing that happened until my coach rang me up the next day to ask how I was doing. I had a maaaajor headache and couldn't lean my head forward without getting extreme pain. If your headache's like that, you really should see a doctor. But if it's not that bad, it's probably not serious and it's "normal". The second time I had a headache was when I just came back from holidaying in PR and I sparred 6 3 minute rounds (while I was in the state of an overweight cab driver lol). My head movement was worse than Chavez Jr and I got hit by a right hand every time I threw my left. Had a bleeding nose and my head was not as bad as the first time, but still felt like I needed a pack of frozen beans on top of my head.

Advice: don't tire yourself out, move your head and work on defence. Don't spar like you have ADD like me lol (you don't need to keep busy all the time)

        AND HYDRATE!

sounds bad my headaches would continue for a day then the next its gone. when i hit the heavy bag my head hurts the first day though. Thing is I only get it because i am careless have my chin up or simply its a lucky shot

take a week off and go see a doc. probably nothing as it is part of boxing or all contact sports for that matter. most are to proud to admit it. relax and enjoy a little time away. do some other **** to chill. then come back. don't think a shot you took is luck. only consentrate on getting healthy. i remember when Gerald Mcleland got a career ending injury we all were sad but you know what? he cried out for help and none of us listened. he complained of the headaches after the julian jackson fight but only with praise of how hard julian hit. what i feel he was sayin is. my fn head hurts bad. none of us saw it but the feeling was there. ego was the downfall i think. when you come back go slow. hit the bag. get in the ring and no one throws punches. just train to cut off the ring. learn to step with the opponent instead of following him around. study film etc. do other boxing stuff. conditioning or what have you. then get back in there. be safe not sorry.

does your headache seem to be in the back of the head to the point of it being sore to the touch? ...........Rockin'
