For gaining strength and muscles, my coach advises me to lift weights. But it has a specific part in my exercise plan. I often do many other exercises, which include warm ups, running and training. I think it weightlifting has a good impact in overall fitness, if its done in right way.

D'Amato had a 1970's era old school universal weight machine in the catskill gym. you can see it in a lot of the footage from when Mike was an amateur I don't think it was there to hang boxing gloves on I'm sure many of the guy's including Mike used it if not regularly then from time to time

I started lifting weights a month ago. 1-2 days per week and bodyweight exercises dips and pullups.
After a month of training , I feel a little weird when I hit a heavy bag. My legs were heavier and my arms are a little pumped and tight after rounds on heavybag , especially today after 30 seconds all out interval training(1-2 s). And I feel stiff when I hit.

I stick to the basics exercises. I don’t squat heavy. I do 20+ squats without weights or squat jumping and bench press, military press, biceps curl(3x6 or 3x8-10 reps). This week I am adding Olympic lifts and removing isolations.
I do not know what is the problem. Is that normal and does the body actually get used to weight training with boxing?
I have not had such "problems" before weights.

If you are looking to lift weights for boxing purposes then I would try to copy the things Artur Beterbiev does.

            Or stuff like this:

Jack Dempsey although not lifting weights, used early forms of resistance training as a method of building explosive power
              nice post

Randy Turpin definitely used weights aswell, but that was 40s and 50s

so many misconceptions about weight training for boxers.

Squats and deadlifts, 3-5 sets of 3-5 reps, are a must. They will build your legs, core and back and allow you to generate as much as power as possible, with the correct technique. They even make punching with the correct technique easier, if that makes sense. Stronger legs make bending your knees and getting low easier.

You will not get big without eating to get big, period. even with Tyson like genetics, if you aint eating, you aint growing
