You won't have any pair for that long in serviceable condition if you are going to train year round. I train at least 4 times a week every week of the year in the gym, not counting days I just go for a good run. I kept my last pair til they wore the soles drastically and then replaced them, and that was just over a year.
I skid around alot and am on my toes constantly bouncing, and doing rope work, and just practicing defensive and offensive pivoting, along with doing pushups and other random things in the gym, you will wear shoes out faster than you might think.
Unless you are talking about a pair that you only use for fights. Then I guess invest in that. But I wouldn't recommend it because then you might feel different since you aren't used to them and don't train in them. But that's just me. 7-8 years is asking alot from a pair of shoes, unless they are cleats if you ask me. I have a pair of adidas F50's and those I expect to be around for like a decade. But I don't play that often, only recreational play at that, so it was worth the investment.

I guess just drop as much as you want for a good rated pair, and roll with it. I doubt they will give you 8 years, but who knows, they might last for a long time. Maybe you don't skid around as much as I do, that would help.

I really only use them in the ring because my whole gym is covered with the ring floor. So they will last me a real long time. Ive looked up the really good gloves and I plan on buying the mizuno shoes from winning-usa unless i find a better pair. Have you hear of these? they go for 350 which is the lower end of my price range so if you know of better i would definitely get them instead. thank you

You seem more interested in spending as much as possible than you do about the quality of the shoes. More expensive doesn’t always mean better.

What TrubiskyRules said, everyone's feet are different, comfort and fit are the most important not how much they cost.

I had some ringside shoes that lasted about 3 months cost around $65. I bought the renegades and they started to wear out after about 6 months, during that same period I bought the Box Hog 3 or box hog plus whatever they call them for about $90 and they have lasted 6 months with almost 0 wear. I feel like they will last another 6 months+ no problem.

They are actually on sale for 30% off right now as well. Much more lightweight compared to the renegade, but abit more thin (as in the renegades are more wide). I have fairly long feet a bit on the thinner side so the box hogs fit better. I could show you pictures of the bottoms of all 3 potentially, but the tread on the Box hog seems to be the best. I mean almost 0 wear in the 6 months and that's training in them for 2+ minimum 3 times a week plus sparring an extra hour.

I think I may buy another pair now that I see that they are on sale.

Spending $400 on shoes doesn't guarantee they'll last forever. It's good you're looking for quality stuff but no need to overdo it. From what I've read Adidas boxing shoes are durable and not too expensive. Would recommend those as a good option. My trainer has also pointed to Nike as a great high-end option which is perhaps closer to what you're looking for. Would read up on the Nike website for reviews on durability though.
