Well done, good info from a trainer is refreshing here!! I like to add that to roll under and step OFF (to the right) all with the back is very important especially with an agressive opponent. We would always want to catch are opponents in a "profile" situation. First to deliver a punch to the jaw and be out of the way for retaliation. Roll under and step off and deliver a chopping blow or a body shot first depending on what you see as the prime target first! Thank you Barry, always good tips! Ray Corso

That's true Mr Corso. I only wanted to give the very basic way anything to advanced you and I will save for an instructional down the road.

why combine the two defences when one works fine? it's just complicating things and is inferior.

just step back. it has the same effect (making the opponent miss and creating distance), but is easier and means that you will be in position much faster ready for your next move.
