Does any one used it before? This diet is based on only meat and fat, NO CARBS at all.

Bad choice, not only for sport performance, but also for health.
PERFORMANCE WISE - Every cell in your body runs glycogen. Basicaly what your body turns carbohydrates into. The best source of carbohydrates is fruit, its been proven that fructose is the best fuel for humans along with the fact that fruit is a high source of antioxidance, vitamins and minerals. After fruit i recommend unprocessed carbohydrates such as rice, potatoes and oats. Then my 3rd choice would be whole wheat pasta and other whole wheat products, however some people dont do too well with gluten....So basicaly your going to have very little energy training on an atkins diet and your not going to be getting all the vitamins and minerals your body needs.
HEALTH WISE - If your concerned about your health, like everyone should be, then the Atkins diet is the worse thing you could do to your body. High consumption of Animal products is 100% proven to increase your risk of heart disease, cancer, diabeties... the list goes on and on. I recomend reading "The China Study" its the biggest ever nutritional study, very eye opening. With Low to no intake of animal products, all these diseases can be avoided. Food for thought.
If anyone tells you carbohydrates make you fat or fruit makes you fat this person is very very wrong. I eat the most fruit and carbohydrates out of anyone i know and my body fat is bellow 10% year round. Its the fat that makes you fat, not the carbohydrates. Try it for a week tho please, eat 2600 calories of mostly fruits, vegtables and some cooked carbs if you want and see what your weight dose. EAT MORE if you training.

At the heart of it all, any diet is just fancy version of "eat less".
You can jump on Atkins diet and eat heaps of meat, but you won't lose weight because your calorie intake is too high.
I'm losing weight now from eating less and training hard, I don't drop my carbs or protein or fat, I eat less of everything, and make sure I get my fruits and veges and water intake in check.
Don't read too much into all those fancy diets, common sense.

I am on Atkins DIET for 4 days, and I already lost 4.4 lb, so let me tell you the diet works!!!!!

I wish you could meet my friend and tell him that, the dude thinks fruit is the devil cos of the sugar, he's making everyone else think that too.
