do you perhaps know why does Manny jab a heavy bag with his thumb almost in an upright position? like totally incorrect.....?
you will always push off of the back foot when throwing your right hands, if you leave your weight at 50/50 you will have less power. For the jab 50/50 is good, although more weight should be transfered forwad when throwing the shot. You just don't want your head passing infront of your left knee.

In my opinion Mannys jab is garbage, its like a slap. Turn the jab over for maximun power and pop. Knuckles parallel to the floor......Rockin'

this....most of Manny's technique is eghhh as an amateur its prob best not to mimick a lot of pro's as they have developed their own style after a while and made it work for themselves...start with PROPER technique first then when u get to pro status u can play more...Trinidad tho may b a good one to watch technique on and also Marquez. Roy jones altho super gr8...dont mimmick him lol

one thing that does not ring true to me is that your shoulder should smack your chin every time you jab.....it's what they teach but I think it's bs.

anyway hailmary5150 keep us posted with new videos cause you suck
The chin should be tucked in the shoulder when you jab, and with any other punch. It is to protect your head from an oncoming punch. I don't think it necessarily needs to be smacked into your shoulder.
