    Glove Advice?

    I was gonna get a pair of bag gloves but then I was reading a bit more about it and apparently they aren't as good as just getting sparring/training gloves. Is this true?

    I have picked a few pairs but are there any you guys would recommend that are below £100?










    Or I was also thinking that because they are the same price and I would only be using them for the bags and pad work then I could get these because official Olympic ones because they should be really high quality. Or are they overpriced and pointless?

    I had bad experiences with my Adidas, with the padding coming out of place and I wasn't the only person in my gym to suffer from this.

    People at my gym have said nothing but praise for Rival gloves, and they do look quality.

      At the minute I'm leaning towards the Rivals as well. I've heard good things on other forums and now you are saying more of the same. Looks like it's the Rivals, but I don't wanna be hasty so I'll wait until more people give there opinions.

        I don't own Rivals but I know a few who do and they love them. Always telling me to buy them. A couple of trainers told me they prefer them to Cletos.

          Well Cletos aren't very good training gloves but still impressive, I'll jet down to the shops later and see if they have some pairs in store for me to try on.

              its not exactly necessary to have a pair of "sparring" gloves and a pair of "bag/padwork" gloves

                what, is he going to work the bag and pads and then punch somebody in the nose with those same gloves? I wouldn't want to be hit with that **** at all after those gloves start breaking down on the punching surface. No way, no how and no sir...............Rockin'

                  I wouldn't mind trying out the rivals, but I cant get over their logo plastered EVERYWHERE.

                    By the way guys. I've been boxing for about a year I just haven't got my own pair of gloves yet. I'd mostly be using them for bag work and pad work because my gym already keeps good sparring gloves in the store. The bag gloves on the other hand are awful.

                    I'll probably use these for sparring in the beginning though and then just use the gyms when the padding starts to wear.
