sure. gummy bears have no fat and 3 g of protien per 20 peices or so.....i could eat 60 and have the same amount of protien thats in a cup of milk...though 4 times the calories.....

ice cream has milk in it so its got a little protien too.

and cakes just full of carbs for energy.

if you eat things like this first thing in the morning then spend your day working hard and training every thing that youve eaten will have been burned off befoer the day is over.

if you eat these things last thing before bed the simple carbs will almost instanly turn to fat unless you accquired a calorie deficit over the day.

lunch and dinner are the meals that one would want to be most nutritionally concerned about while break fast not sooo much because you have the whole day to use the simple carbs.

its many many times more important to have something for break fast then how nutritional that something is.

id say gummy bears are probly one of the best b-fast foods you can eat if you plan on running 5 miles after b-fast.

im not really joking but more so pointing out that b-fast is the most important meal of the day because it wakes you up gets your mind going and gives you fuel for the day.

im also pointing out that if you eat a high carb food for b-fast your most lielly going to burn all the carbs off before lunch time.

sooo the main point is if your out of oatmeal and all you have are pop tarts your going to be better off eating poptarts then skipping b-fast.

of course oat meal is better then pop-tarts or gummy bears for b-fast but the amount its better isnt near as much as oatmeal is better then pop tarts for lunch or dinner. sooo the nutritional value of b-fast can be quite low as long as your getting some protien and lots of carbs.

I see where you are coming from but I have to disagree.

If you are out of good nutritional breakfast like oatmeal and replace it with gummy bears, cake or some other high sugar high GI food then you'll be burnt out before you even start your exercise, the blood sugar ****e will make you feel great and energetic for about half an hour and then you will crash and feel like crap and have zero energy.

Id say it would be better to skip breakfast altogether if the only other option was junk. Skipping breakfast would mean you'd feel like crap exercising anyhow but itd probably be a bit better then eating a bunch of junk and having your blood sugar levels fluctuate like that.

soo you eat too much sugar get too much glucose in your blood your body reacts releasing insulin sending the glucose to storage or to your muscles for immediate use

if your sitting around doing nothing then yes you will crash as the glucose will go into storage and turn to fat most likely but if your actually exercising id imagine that youll get a bit more then half an hour out of the fuel.

i also eat this stuff and exercise so personal experience tells me i rarely every feel a crash and if i do its usually not till after im done working out,

If you're looking to cut weight for a bout I always find this works great:

3 Big fat Cumberland Sausages, fried.
3 Thick-cut rashers of best back bacon, fried.
2 Slices of butchers best black pudding, fried.
              2/3 Hash browns, fried.
5/6/ mushrooms, cut and of course...fried.
2 eggs poached.....naaa only kidding, fried.
1 can of heinz baked beans....microwaved.
1 dollop of HP Brown sauce...lovingly squirted all over.

I like to eat well at breakfast, i usually have either oatmeal or meusli, fruit and berries, and a fruit juice.

quite a lot of calories in that but i don't care

Well if eating high sugar foods before training works for you then fair enough but Id say you were an exception to the rule. Plus those constant blood sugar ****es wont be good for your overall health in general.
