Yeah, some guy at the gym had these and asked me to work the mitts with him and asked me to use his pads. I liked the fact that they took a big punch but they were heavy but you don't need too much speed on big guys anyways because their size makes them slow. The guy is about 6' 4" and weighs about 250 lbs.- had a decent right cross. Verdict, there good for big boxer.

waaay too hard
I got these the other day...first impression was that I liked them a lot, except the stitching seemed a little sloppy in certain parts and I could foresee some potential tearing problems, especially if you pulled the velcro strap tight...it appeared to pull on the leather it was attached to too much....but what is going to make me send these back is that besides the gel component in the front, the internal padding which makes up most of the overall padding is as hard as soft wood...lol...these are the hardest pads I have ever felt..which didn't bother me, but the people I held them for immediately made comments about them irritating their hands....definitely sending these back..........was thinking of exchanging for the fighting sports tri tech pads....however I know these are made by title as well....Idk...any insight ?

I had the white fighting sports pads but sold them for 50 bucks cause they were too bulky and the curve was also too much. It made it hard to catch hooks when boxers threw the hook with their thumb up. Also, the label patch was turning yellowish. I also have the fighting sports headgear, which is also big and bulky and sparring gloves. I have nothing but regrets with fighting. I won't bother getting any more fighting sports products. They made the stuff look like Winnings but nothing like it. The leather on the gloves wrinkles up pretty bad, although they do feel comfortable and similar to Winning. There's nothing like the real deal.
