    Double End Bag Recommendations?

I'm looking to purchase a double end bag soon. I'd like to get a few recommendations before doing so.

    - Do they work well with an anchor
    - What brand do you prefer
    - Mexican or traditional
    - Size

Have you used this bag. Any benefit from using an expensive bag versus something a little cheaper.

I personally don't like the double ones like the link above.

More important than the brand/cost is the length of bungee cords you use to hang it.

If it's too tight and doesn't move enoguh it's basically pointless. If it moves too much you can't throw combinations on it cause it moves to far when you hit it.

If it's just for home use, go with cheaper model. They don't take a ton of wear cause you're not hitting them full power like a heavy bag.

Thanks for the tips and hanging the bag and purchasing advice. It's for home use so I'm going to get a cheaper model. I'm going with a single bag, I was just curious as to why you don't like the double.

I always found the double end bag easy to hit. Then again that was a long, long time ago(15 years and 40 pounds ago). I'm going to use it to add a little variety to my workout.

Whatever you do, stay away from Everlast. Best advice you'll ever hear.

As someone posted above, the brand doesn't really matter so much with double end bags and speed bags. A cheap title brand bag set up properly will do just as well compared with a more expensive bags.

Really? I'm loving my safemax headgear that I just bought from everlast. I still dont like the new logo so I blackenned them out with a sharpie and ripped out the everlast patch in the front. I'm thinking of getting a pair of Protex3 gloves to match.

Everlast sucks penis, at least everything I've ever bought from them does (even the expensive stuff). The only good product I've had from them is their Pro Fight gloves they made back in 2005 (different than the ones they make now). But I'm so embarrassed to sport the Everlast logo so I cover it with duct tape.
