Proper hanging of a bag

Having just ordered this:



...I could do with a few pointers explaining just how to hang it securely. I keep reading about swivels, chains and hooks but - as someone new to training - the uses and necessity of these items are largely unknown to me. The bag will have to be put in a spare, upstairs room of mine - so will be secured to loft/attic beam(s). Thanks for any help.

hanging the bag correctly is very instrumental in the way the bag will react to the punches being thrown,the height should be adjusted accordingly to your comfort level,and the best way is to hang the bag on a beam with a solid chain,also make sure you have enough room to hit the bag in a circular motion with no obstructions
