    Sparring

How common is it to get a bloody nose in sparring?

    #2
Realtively common but different people have different noses, for some it is regular, for others hardly ever.

I've had probably 8? in my time boxing(couple years), mostly lately, because I got a cut inside my nose sparring and it hasn't healed properly, so it bleeds a little now if I get caught hard and flush a few times on the nose, luckily that doesn't happen to often.

Yeah it varies. My nose would bleed a tiny bit, then I got it broken like my 5th time sparring and now it's a rock and has only bled like twice in 2 years.

If your nose is bleeding a lot go to the doctor and get it cauterized. They burn the inside of your nose with chemicals or a hot piece of metal (yup, it hurts) and it destroys the blood vessles so they won't open up when you get hit.

Well it would depend when you get punched on your nose but if you get punched to the nose pretty hard it might cause a little nose bleed inside.

Like most have said it varies I personally haven't ever had one but my nose has never bled either but it is starting to get more flat and makes a noise if I push it in and move it

my nose would bleed almost every day.. some people's noses are sensitive to pressure and some aren't.

very common, sparring is like a real fight only the boxers usually were a csa approved headgear and the gloves may be somewhat larger in terms of weight,if you get hit with a shot to the nose area usually the bridge area a bloody nose may occur,if a bloody nose does occur pressure to the top of the nose area in between the bridge and just above the nostrils should stop the blood flow,
