    Wheres the liver?

I just read the posts on which punches hurt the most.

i remember sparring some dude a while back and i was taggin him in the face the whole time. never phased him. it wasn't until i threw a left hook to his body that he just collapsed and fell on the floor. dude just folded like a lawn chair. funny thing was i didn't even throw it that hard.
I also got punched in the liver sparring before and that **** hurt like hell!!

So...where exactly is the liver located? and how can i set up liver punches.

I heard its located on the right side of the body under the pec. is that right?

"If you place your right hand over the area under the ribs on the right side of your body it will just about cover the area of your liver."

Taken from the British Liver Trust website. Hope this helps dude.

The ribs protect the liver, so you want to aim right at the bottom of them where they are the weakeast.

Run your hand lighlty over your right side near the side of the mid to lower stomach. The part feels very sensitve, it should kind of feel weird. That's the liver.

Got to say that it's one of the most satisfying punches to land. Gotta love the slight delay before they realize they just got tagged.

Why don't more boxers throw liver punches? it can end fights pretty quickly. it feels almost as bad as getting kicked in the nuts.

Because most good ones know how to not get hit there, or if so, take it better.

Can you provide some Southpaws that do so.

I can name a few that do this but they're all Orthodox.
