Hey so I just joined a boxing club where these guys all are more experienced than me, but I have a question for you guys.
I am a basketball player, not a boxer but with basketball I can see me having some possible advantages, such as I skip 5 days a week, doing pretty intense jump rope drills.
To be more precise I follow a foot speed product by jason Otter. If you go in youtube and paste " Basketball Speed and Quickness with a Jump Rope ", you will see how intense it is.
Does this give me an advantage over these guys? Is there an aspect of boxing where I should have an edge? I know none of them can skip like that.
As well I have become very ambidextrous doing dribbling drills.
All in all I'm wondering if this helps me not be as far behind as people would think, and what possible aspects of boxing I have a head start in. Thanks!
