My hands can't take the beating of punching the bag anymore . So I'm considering p90x and a bit of protein. Whey or isolate does it make a difference?

If you're looking on putting on that much muscle you're just gonna have to bulk. I know very little about P90x but I know that youre looking to get that much bigger your best bet is to just lift heavy and increase your calorie intake. If you're concerned about keeping a low BF, just lean out afterwards. Putting on that much muscle while keeping lean is a long process . Dont bother with suppliments. This is all also dependant upon your current starting point.

I suggest you do a Stronglifts 5x5, Bill Starr 5x5 or Westside For Skinny Bastards Pt. 3 for you your routine.
P90x is more or less a HIIT routine for fat people to lose weight. It's not going to put sizie on you or make you gain weight. It's a muscle confusion program designed for weight loss.
I also suggest you start eating a lot more and I'd go with Whey Isolate becuase it's more bioavailable compared to Regular Whey or Whey Concentrate.
