I see no reason to wait 6 months or more before your willing to let some one spar i mean unless of course your one of those dirty a holes that dont train any one in any thing other then how to do sit ups push ups and jump rope and are only in this to make money you greedy piece's of ****
If this guy agrees with me than I retract everything I just said.

My advice to you is this, and also not to take any advice from this LATINONOB guy.
You're missing the boat, id*ot. I have a question for you, if you were teaching someone how to ride a bicycle, how would you know when to take the training wheels off ?

Another question, would you take the training wheels off at the same time you're still teaching them how to ride a bike ?

Sparring helps students work on reaction, timing and distance. Students do not spar until they are familiar with the basic stances, blocks and strikes .

** Urbanofan in his own sparring vid clearly shows that he's not familiar with the basic stances, blocks and strikes. I did not pick up one thing that he actually did correctly!**

What's up with the analogies comparing boxing to other stuff that it has nothing to with? And if you want to go with the that, then at some point you have to take off the training wheels, not knowing if the kid is going to bust his ass or not. You have to throw him out there with no training wheels and find out if he's got it. With boxing you will always be learning. So what are you going to do, wait until you are perfect to spar? You need to spar to better develop your distance and timing. Also there's a way of getting your point across without being a **** to the guy asking for advice.

When did I ever say that a student has to be perfect to spar ? But, in Urbanofan's case, he has no business sparring based on the evidence that he has provided us!

Oh and you talking about him developing his sense of distance and timing through sparring, well, from the looks of it, he needs to develop proper punching mechanics/blocking/footwork, etc. before he even thinks of developing other things.

was the video working okay,or are you two just slow punchers,it looked like the two of you were just pawing at eachother in a very slow wild like manner, are you newbies, when you spar you have to throw crisp on the mark combos

How many novices do you know that step into the ring and apply the fundamentals they've learned their first few times sparring. Most guys can shadowbox, hit the bag and mitts for months, and still get in the ring and flail their arms like they never had a boxing lesson in their life. It takes a while to get used to being in the ring;the timing and pace takes countless sparring sessions to figure out. That is something you can't pick up until you actually get in the ring, then little by little you start applying what you've learned.
