first reverse the order: build your abs with multiple abdominal movements and then lower your calorie intake to reduce your bf% to reveal the work you've put in. that's it, that simple. dedication and hard work.

1 - Get it clear in your mind its in the kitchen where most of your ab work is done

2 - Try drink around 3 to 4 litres of cold water per day

3 - Abs like everything else need time to recover. On top of all your other training (assuming you box regularly) work them about 3 times a week. Thats more than enough if you pushing it hard.

4 - Make sure you implement loads of core work.

5 - Dont drink booze. It will flatten them faster than anything

having a 6 pack is not an essnetial part of boxing, no one wins fights based on how good their bas are.however it is important to have a strong core and strong ab muscles.

          three things you need:
          1) CARDIO - no better way to burn body fat and mix up your running with long distance runs, short sprints etc (especially if you're running on a treadmill)

          2) AB WORK - leg raises, weighted crunches, v sit ups etc etc. also try isometric training (holding plank position for 30 secs then rest for 30 secs) remember yours abs like ny other muscle need rest so dont overtrain

          3) DIET - real abs are made in the kitchen, however like peewee1460 said diet and reduced calorie intake comes after the first two.

Basically this. Crunches, Leg Raises and other abdominal exercises.

Why does EVERYBODY on this site completely disregard cutting carbs when talking about dropping BF?

Not trying to start a fight here but, I disagree with cutting carbs. Cutting calories loses weight. Cutting saturated fat helps keep your heart healthy. Eating protein helps your muscles build. Carbohydrates are the most basic source of energy for your body. Trying to replace simple carbs with complex carbs is a good idea (wheat instead of white) but I don't think cutting carbs has much of a benefit. Usually when people "cut carbs" they are simply eating fewer calories than they did before hence they lose weight and then they assume it's the carbs that were the reason their weight loss worked when really the carbs are just the scapegoat.

I'd imagine most would/should know its pretty standard to cut down on carbs when trying to lose fat. I could be wrong though.

because they don't understand the metabolic pathway of carbohydrates and their interruption of fat burning.

or even what the **** a metabolic pathway is for that matter.

Anyone reading this thread though who just want a 6 pack to impress the ladies should be aware that getting them is one thing, keeping them on the other hand is a different matter.. To keep them visable your diet will need to be **** on and to be honest if its just for appearances its all just a pain in the ass.
