Has anyone ever drink orange juice or chocolate milk after a long run.

Good morning. I've been doing research on running. As I was browsing I seen a lot of posts on various of forums stating the positive benefits from drinking chocolate milk and orange juice after a run. I also read about accelerade and endurox being preferable to drink.

The last time I trained for a marathon, my recovery drink after long runs was 1% milk blended with chocolate Ovaltine and ice. I'll tell you it was super satisfying and delicious. You get protein from the milk and a decent shot of vitamins and minerals from the Ovaltine. I really liked how it tasted and how I felt.

OJ and milk are not good for anyone. Spring water with sucanat before and after. I add hibiscus powder, borax and seaweed calcium.
