    Starting Boxing; and diet

quick question before the diet. I only found one gym near me, and it charges $50 a month for an open gym that is only open 3 hours 5 days a week and 2 hours saturday Do you guys pay similar amounts? We spar twice a week on tuesday and thursday. Seems pretty steep to me but it is the ONLY gym in the city (of schenectady) if anyone knows of anothe gym in schenectdy id apreciate it.
So my other question is on diet. Right now i weigh in at 135lbs and im 5'8" i need to get down to 132. Dont think it should be to hard, i have a little bit of stomache fat. So what should i be eating? Heres a list of some foods im thinking of centering my diet around, any aditions and critique are appreciated
    Fruits (g****s, oranges, peaches, apples)
    vegetables (brocli)
    brown rice
    pasta
    yams
    beans
    oatmeal
    chicken
    lean beef
    tuna
    eggs
    fish
    potatoe
    squash
whole weat cereal (frosted flakes and oats)
    pretzels
    animal crackers (im addicted)
    skim milk
sliced ham and cheese (sndwiches) white bread
    pb+J
    romen noodles
    spaggeti or spagetti O's

Are their any bad foods in my diet?
Anyone know of some vegetables that dont hve to be cooked? i hate cooking. I dont have an oven ($30 just to turn on the gass!) so i use a microwave and anyone whos had microwaved corn can tell yea its no good lol

$50 aint much for a gym.

As in matter of fact, anything towards making you a better person physically and healthy aint of limit to me.

    However, only 3 hours M-F???wtf

    and only 2hrs on Saturdays.

It's up to you if you want to join bro, I only pay $20 for mine a month, and its dam nice plus lots of hours that I can go at. I would gladly pay 30 bucks more if they ever raise it.

and almost everything in your food list is correct.

I think you should have no problem going down to 132. I would think that with those foods and boxing, you can probably even go downer, depending on how your body reacts to it.

Although, be sure to add A Little fat to that diet.

Dont just erase fat from your diet. It's a bad habit.

The bolded ones are not the healhtiest choices, but if you're eating them in moderation I'm sure you'll be fine.....your choice of food looks great, good luck man

Realy? Im kinda suprised PB+J isnt on there because its kind of high in fat. Also suprised Romen Noodles are unhealthy? I thought they were basically just noodles; a good carb.

Yea 2 hours s fine for a workout, it just sucks that they arent open more so you can come when you want imo. I plan on running and lifting along with boxing, havent started yet because i find im sore every morning haha but when i adjust ill start running and then hopefully getting in the weight room some 3 times a week

ramen noodles are high in sodium = BAD
pb is high in fat but mostly unsaturated, which isnt bad

for losing weight your main goal is getting rid of unnecessary calories...

the white bread should go asap and be replaced with 100% whole wheat..

spaghetti Os are high in sodium too, and not alot of nutritional content
animal crackers are just wasted carbs and calories... they add no benefit

ya, but not for 50$ IMO.

if it works for you, then by all means do it man.

I have to start going to school on Morning and Afternoon Saturdays next Semester.

However, it fits perfectly into my boxing training. So I have to sacrifice something.

Ramen noodles are also fried so they're ridiculously fatty high salt no protien empty carbs.
