That way your body is mimmicking what happens when you fight. Don't waste time with the triathalon unless it's a personal goal. Too much aerobic training eats away at your muscles and strength. Swimming doesn't create a fighters body but swim sprinting does.

      be careful not to get too slow. If you train slow you will become slow. Do not let it dominate your routine of training but I couldn't say do not do it at all as I'm sure there are other benefits but just weigh up your priorities. If you want to develop explosiveness, triathlons will not do this.
