Is the punch you dont see comeing the one that can do the most damage?

Definitely. This has been said a billion times in boxing. If you tell somebody 'gimme your best shot,' you get to brace yourself for the hit. That helps you take it. If the same person were to tap you on the shoulder and blast you soon as you turned around, no doubt that punch would hurt worse.

In my experience yes. The only shots that have knocked me to me knee or stunned me were the ones i never saw. I think it has to do with the suprise factor and balance. If you are going to put it all on the line to land a big shot you might get caught off balance. When your balance is off if the other guy gives you a jab the misses a flinch on your part could put you on the canvas. Thats why i like to stay real busy, if i take a shot i will throw somthin back even if im doing it blind or staggered. It will always throw the other guy off when you take his best shot to the face and you just keep at him. Think about it how would you feel if you landed the cleanest hardest punch you had on the guy and he just hit you back without a blink?
