Yea bro losing more than 2lbs a week is not good as it can lead to mussle breakdown, and as others have stated, if its not absolutely necessary then just take it easy. Starving yourself & crash diets never work, w/ patients and hard work ull see much better results.
I myself am cutting around 15lbs for the summer. Im already halfway there, and im feeling full without feeling drained. If your having trouble with your diet try using an online calorie counter like fitday.com or somthing like that. Its helped me be more conscious of what im putting in, rather than just guessing.
