How do I stop eating at night?

I have a tendency to eat at night, before I go to bed. I crave sweets and carbs. I do make sure I eat healthy during the day, I eat plenty of vegetables, protein rich foods, good solid breakfast every day, all that good stuff. I've been working out regularly, hitting the heavy bag, burpees, all types of push-ups, yadda-yadda.

On days I do a good intense workout, at night its a different kind of hunger where I need to be sated, and want some kind of healthy food, and eating some spare veggies ain't going to cut it. So I usually end up eating some (natural) peanut butter or something and being unsatisfied, and then usually end up eating some of the bad stuff anyway.

If I don't workout, at night I can gorge on food, especially carbs and sugar foods.

Anyone have any advice? Any healthy filling snack food anyone recommends? I want to get in better shape, and drop a few pounds. I'm 31, and weigh 179 lbs. I used be able to get rid of weight easily, and be lean and mean, now like the day I got into my 30s it got harder.

It sounds as if you're not willing to make the sacrifice. I understand what you're going through. I used to do the same thing till I realized whatever it is I'm chasing for in my life through boxing I won't reach it without sacrifice. So I guess cry now laugh later. Just don't do it. A craving as you stated won't go away by itself. Even if you eat something to supplement the carbs and sugary sweets it won't change the fact that after you're full wou will still crave those "snacks". I'm sure you can find something healthier but in the end it's all up to you. Don't give in to the temptation and just do it. show your grit. Hope this helps.

            WILLPOWER!!

As soon as I stopped eating at night the weight started falling off me. Once you get out of the habit it's easy.

The reason you are stuffing junk in your gullet is because you haven't got anything else to do. The solution should be obvious.
