One thing is that you need to maintain form using these heavy weights. If you try and press too heavy too soon injuries happen. I canīt even do military presses now because I damaged my shoulder trying to lift too heavy doing a 3x5 program. It is easy to get too concerned with poundages lifted which shouldnt be a great concern of a boxer

Trrmo-howd that 3x5 work for you strength wise? because thats what Im doing for most of my movments right now. Im not making very good gains, only thing thats gone up is my weighted dip. I agree with you that it shouldnt be a concern, my only concern is stalling in any part of my training, if Im not getting better in some way (skill, stamina, strength, power, blah blah blah) then mistakes have been made and I have to rethink something.
Damn, u guys make me feel bad about my overhead pressing lol thats something I always neglected (the overhead part...not the shoulders).

Now I am in slight calorie deficit to lose some fat, so I am just really maintaining my strength and doing a full body w/o twice a week, not making any big increases in weight lifted. The 3 x 5 was a good foundation. I think I wouldnīt be too far off what I was lifting when I was doing the 3 x 5.
