    Fighters?

Hopkins uses endless feints to do the trick. Nobody can tell whether he is setting up a right hand, creating room to get away and create distance, or he's feinting to set you off balance and rush in close range. In sparring I get too set on fighting inside and my intentions become obvious. This results in eating a lot of jabs and not utilizing range. This is how Vazquez got his nose broken against Marquez. Mix it up son! Feints, and good footwork/head movement.
Could you give a list of fighters you could suggest that i could watch, to gain an insight into how its done.
    5+ if possible please

I'm 6ft and struggle fighting on the inside traditionally like body shots and roughing your man up. I find the key to besting someone like that is a good uppercut

        You lazy bastard.

        1. BHop. My favorite fighter, a monster on the inside. Roughs you up, hits your hip on the opposite side of the ref, be careful cause imitating some of his tactics will get points deducted (though he's not as dirty as people make him out to be).
        2. James Toney. Watch his fight against Iran Barkley. If you are a fan of inside fighting you will cream your pants, he is the best inside fighter of recent years (maybe one of the top 3 ever).
        3. Israel Vazquez. OK, so I used him as an example as a guy who occasionally doesn't know how to get inside. He eats a LOT of jabs. People like Marquez and Gonzalez made him look amateurish at moments, but they also both suffer knockout losses from Izzy. Once he gets where he wants to be, he's a monster.
        4. Dwight Muhammad Qawi. Fairly short, needed to find his way inside your range. He did a beautiful job cutting of the ring, and once he was inside he could roll your punches and find you with the uppercut. Try to find his light heavyweight bouts instead of his cruiserweight ones. He was a great cruiserweight, but a bit more shot in those days.
        5. Roberto Duran. No need to build him up, he's known as the best lightweight ever and one of the p4p top 3 greatest to ever lace em up.

The thing is, most of these guys are either shorter and HAVE to fight on the inside (mainly Qawi here), or they have lots of power and opponents tend to get intimidated up close. Don't learn from Tyson's inside fighting game, and then find out you have malinaggi's power. If you're short there's still things you can do without being an up close clinching inside fighter.

ricky hatton is also another terrific in-fighter and yes to be successful on in inside you have to carry some decent power, good jab, and some rotational strength for those hooks to the body then head. also strong calves so you can close the distance quickly.

At the moment, im just trying to find a place/website that sells DVDs of fights for these and other boxers.
Sounds like an easy thing to do but obviously not :\
