    Boxing Glove Reccomendation...

Right, I now what weight to get... 12-16oz, I saw a guys 16's that he brought and they didn't look to bad I was probably just mislead by the ones at the gym which were tattered.

Anyway I was wandering if you could Reccomend me some gloves to buy... between 12-16oz, and I am willing to spend up to ?0 (not much but I aint exactly loaded right now).

dont ever spend 50 bucks on gloves ever, they will just fall apart. save up for a while and get some quality gloves. if your getting em for training id save up and get either a pair of grant, which run for about 1110 or so in US money. or get the best glove in the world by far which are Winning which is 250 US. yea its alot but i saved up and got em and to be honest i would pay double for them. if you want a pair of gloves for fighti9ng get Cleto Reys, they go for about 120 US, but dont use them for training.....

50 pounds not dollars, I am unsure what the exchange rate is though... I am a full time student at college and doubt I could afford a 250 pair, maybe Grants at a push but you say I can't use them for training?

EDIT: With recommendations can people please provide links?

EDIT 2: Oh **** wait, did you say Grants are $1,100 each or meant $110?

thats kool. just remember in boxing quality of the qlove is very important. its better to save up and buy a good pair like grant that will last you years intead of buying a pair for 40bucks that will last weeks before they break.

Can someone tell me why the weight of the glove matters? Does it determine its size or cushioning? I'm trying to buy some Cleto Reyes pro fighting gloves at Ringside.com but they only have 10oz and 8oz.

I'm going to have Valero sign them but I don't want em to be kids sized gloves or too big either.
