I know how you feel man. The first time I went in there I got punched- A LOT! My nose was bleeding like never before and I had marks on my face from the head gear. The next time I was a little scared to get hit so I was subconsciously pushing my sparring partner with my hands a little bit. My trainer told me I looked like a little ***** and I'd better stop. So I tried my best and it worked. You will be ok, just get in there and do it again. I took some hard punches in my sparring sessions but nothing that ever really hurt me.

That's the only way to overcome your fear and to really get better.

i looked at sparring like my trainer saying i was ready so i over came the fear by just wanting to vindicate his decision. that was my way of getting over it, and even when i spar people bigger than me (as a middle weight i have sparred heavies and light heavies) i always try my best despite taking quite a beating a few times at least that way you have something to build off and show you deserve to be there
