you can start at young age, but you are not supposed to lift extrme weights.
very good exercise are push/pull ups, climbign like exercise and around body weight.
normal weight exercise is also ok, but keep the reps around 15-25 up and dont go max strength like 1 rep.
i dont suggest lifting heavy weights at a young age. my friend started lifting weights when he was 15 and hes buffed. the problem is he's 5'6 and weighs 185. he's not fat or anything he's just really big because he was a football player. now when he spars he fights against 6'0+ in his weight class and he has problems keeping his hands up because his muscles are too big and heavy.
i recommend doing calisthenics. just doing pushups, situps, pullups. and if you do have to lift weights. lift lightweights but do alot of reps.
