help with hanging a punching bag.

Turning my 12'by20' car garga into a gym. im putting up a heavy bag but dont know how much room I should leave around it as a buffer. I'm going to try and use all space available with different types of equiptment(bench, squat rack, free wieghts, ect..) so im trying to figure out how much space i should leave around the bag before I start to buy too much equiptment and not fit them in the space.

    Any help would be great..thanks.

Will you be hanging it from wood, or do you have steel rafters?

If wood, trust me, buy a double end clamp ( I believe that's what they are called..It's a thing that has room for two screws) from title boxing, and make sure you get a 300lb industrial spring, hang the spring from the clamp, then the bag from the spring. Bada bing.
