laser eye surgey HELP

hi there i have pretty bad eye sight i am 14 and weigh about 52 kgs. can you tell me if you become pro can you get away with having bad eye sight or do you need to have laser eye surgery thanks guys.

from what I heard they don't let you fight if you had the surgery. and if you get hit in the head after getting surgery... ur eyes will be more f'd up the before.

All boxing medical forms say any eye surgery including laser automatically disqualifies you along with other things such as epilepsy, etc. We been through this last week. Why not use the search function?

Well the good news is you're allowed to wear contacts in Amateur boxing... so you still have about 4-6 years of that... and I dont see why you cant just get PRK surgery and just lie about it.... LASIK eye surgery is the one where you get messed up if you get hit to hard... PRK is just the same as if you didnt have surgery at all.

I don't know how some people say they fight with contacts on... I use contacts but I never sparred or fight with them... Won't they just get messed up in one hit and possibly end up falling out ?

Not really... if you do happen to box with contacts though make sure you get the disposable kind because if they fall out during the match you have to finish without them... you cant just stop and look for them.

i've fought both with and without contacts. in my first fight i had 1 knocked out. i definitely prefer without. sometimes i can go weeks in sparring without ever getting my contacts knocked out, and other times they'll get messed up with the first punch i take.
