When I was forced to quit playing football (soccer) because of an injury that wouldn't go away. I always had the most respect for boxers out of any other athlete, and after quitting soccer, I decided to go to the boxing gym. Like you, peewee, I could feel at home in the gym as well. Everyone there was unbelievably respectful and helpful, and I knew that this was the sport for me. I was never really into the whole team thing either. In boxing, its all on you, and I like that.

when i was 14 and was sparring a friend of mine in a hands only match, who happened to be and still is an incredible boxer, he destroyed me with his left jab and hook. It was then i decided to start training in boxing.

When I realized that great fighters never really die, as their fights and legends continue to be researched and etc by future generations

ya know? it's like, everyone works their ass off and isn't even remembered really after they die..........FIGHTERS ARE REMEMBERED..........I want people to know who I am, 50-100 years after I'm dead!!!!!!

i always watched it because my family was always into it. I always boxed with my friends and did good and got into fights and all that and i was good at fighting. I would beat up kids way bigger than me. Then i was suspended from school , for fighting (lol like Fernando Vargas story) and i seen boxing on tv. It was Panchito Bojado fighting it was his pro debut or his second fight. He reminded me of myself,I remember watching the way he fought and being like damn hes good i want to be able to fight like that. I ended up in a gym a few weeks later and i loved it. I had played baseball, basketball, and other sports before but none of them made me feel the way boxing felt. Ive been training and fighting ever since and havent been in a street fight in years. My trainer ended up being like a father figure too and he straightened me out a lot made me a better person instead of the punk little kid i was.
