I am getting back in after 7 weeks of torture

For those of you who are interested I am getting back in the gym on monday after 7 weeks out of the gym aside for some running and some swimming. I broke my wrist about 7 weeks ago a month before the Ringside World Championships. That was a total shock to my world. In the year prior I ate breathed and farted boxing. I was 205 lbs of fighting machine now I am back up to 215 weak and feeling bloated. I took some time to enjoy the foods and booze I had so long avoided but now it is back to being a killer in the ring and in the kitchen. My trainer is in Vegas working with Sam Peter so my good buddy and fellow boxer Mikey Stein is gonna take over the mitts for a while. I am pumped to see how my wrist holds up. I have been pecking some jabs and it felt good. I still have some soreness but I am ready to get the job done again. Its really weird but I feel so nervous...

Any advice on how to keep my wrist from getting reinjured? I am planning on taping and wrapping more for starters..

    wish me luck

Good to know your wrist healed up fine. Like you said bandage it a little more and start slowly and see how it holds up. Good luck.

Man, and I thought 4 weeks was bad... I've had 3 weeks of doing no boxing at all, but I'll get back into it as soon as september begins, so only one more week... I've been doing burpees, jumproping, shadowboxing and bodyweight exercises to try to not lose too much progress, but I just need to do some sparring and some heavy bag finally.

make sure you wrap your hands good. Make sure you dont wrap them starting too high like the bottom of the hand, make sure you get some of your wrist in there too.

          good luck

                Good luck!
I gotta see how my knee holds as well. Probably gonna need surgery on it if I wanna box again. Make sure your wrist is fully healed before pushing it too hard though-

Your fat anyways so your weight wont affect you at all. Lose some weight then come back to me and I will help you out. Less wanking will help you out too.
