I'm cut!!

Got a BAD gash over my eye in sparring last night. Deep, L-shaped and it required a hospital visit to get it put together.

Anybody know how long it will take to heal? Will I always have weak skin around there?!

Depends on wheather it was a scraping punch or clash of heads? If its deep it could take a while and may never fully recover it to start with your skin was soft there anyway.

How did ya handle it? Yell out 'no mas, no mas'?

You should be applying some Vaseline before you spar! I've seen it help people who were in your situation and it also helps prevents cuts to a certain extent

its deep. i could open it wide if i'd have wanted to.

"No mas"!?!? ain't in my vocabulary son.

Mainly because i don't speak Spanish. I didn't even notice mate, until red gunge was covering one of my eyes, then just went to the first aid box.

I'll get a pic later tonight, but i've got a dressing on it.

i think i will be from now on to be honest. i think the cut is from damaging that eye for ages.
