    roadwork

how important to you think roadwork is to a boxers workout and what sort of running to you think has better benifits. Interval running or long distance(6km-10km). I know yous are gonna say do both but if i can only fit in 3 runs a week at this stage what would you recomend. More longer distance, more intervals or a long run with periods of sprints. How many days do you guys run a week and how far.

Interval running. You box in flurries so run in flurries. Jog at a slow pace and than burn it out for an 1/8 mile or so. I go one minute easy than burn for 30 seconds; rinse and repeat. Train your body to exhaust itself and than recover while still exerting energy...

Long runs can be thrown in but really dont help all that much in wind. They are good for shedding poundage and real long runs burn muscle so BEWARE..

Go for as long as your lungs, legs and body can handle it and you have improved your stamina. Push yourself to a limit you are comfortable with; the harder you push in training the easier sparring-a fight will be...
