    Protein Shakes

Ive heard alot of good and bad things about protein shakes and i dont know how to go about them!

Are they really worth it or are they just a waste of time and money?

If they are worth it, should i be having them at the age of 15 whilst in training?

    what weight are you?
are you looking to gain weight?
some of my mates drink them at gym to gain muscle quicker, wont necessarily make you fitter

I use em to give me protein before workouts and to replenish the muscles after workouts.

It works. You must do weights training to take full advantage if it.

protein helps you repair muscles so i definitely recommend it if you want to keep your strength and power.

it also helps you clean up your diet - it's not about getting bigger so much as the more protein in your diet (from clean sources) the less likely you'll be to pack on fat. There was some medical report; i can find the reference on pub med if you want; that tracked protein supplementation versus a control group - the protein group on the whole significantly lowered their bodyfat percentage and some even dropped a few pounds just from the change in diet.

I say go for it; it's one of the few supplements that actually works for just about everybody.
