    Damn! That was my plan!! I've been hard at the excercising now for months with only a handful of days off in all that time. However, when I decided I would join a gym I told myself I wouldn't join the gym til I got fitter. I'm definitely fitter, healthier & stronger than I was but I'm still holding off joining one. The reason? Because I STILL smoke! Just can't seem to shake it. I DID manage to jack in smoking during the day (I used to smoke around 15 a day). However, I've found it far too hard to give up the hash too and to be honest I don't know if I really want to. I only have 3 joints a day but maybe that's still too many.

      Don't worry about it then, if you've actually been doing exercise and really are pushing yourself then that's awesome, it's just I reckon 9/10 people who say they're going to get fitter and then join, end up doing abit here, abit there and so on, I was one of those 9. When I joined, my mentality changed, I started going running etc.

      You don't need to quit to join. I know people who smoke and box, they're fitter than me and i'm not unfit.

      Problem with weed is it's usually unfiltered, guessing you use a roach? Using a filter makes it far less potent. 3 joints a day is alot, if it's unfiltered it's about equiv' to 15 cigerettes, plus your cigerettes. But the game here is not quitting everything, it's about getting fitter and like I said, I know people who smoke and box, I reckon you should just join a gym and get started, it's far less intimidating than people think and nobody is going to attack you for being less fit than them.

        When I tried to excercise and stuff in my twenties I was like that however, I have really surprised myself at the age of 34, as to how determined and disciplined I have been since the turn of the year. I love my exercise sessions and even love my jogging/running sessions (never, ever thought I’d say that!)

              I used to go to a boxing gym regular and smoke about 30 a day. i never did any running tho.

              Now i train on a heavy bag in the garage and run 4 miles 5 times a week.. I still smoke about 30 a day tho so my stamina is proper dog ****.

                    Who cares if he smokes it? Studies have shown it is less harmful than alcohol, so if you judge him for smoking cannabis, judge everyone who drinks. If it's not about health and is about being high, well, people on alcohol are ridiculous, can be aggressive and all sorts, people on weed are chilled and want to have a laugh. I'm not going into this whole debate on a boxing forum though. The last line should be let him do what he wants to do, if you don't like, then that's your choice and so on. That way society works well together but remains individuality.

                    Back on topic, really, I would say just join. End of the day, at bare minimum it's an awesome workout, subsidy to that, you get to learn a good sport which you like.
