i love the winning gloves and i bought 2 x pairs of 18oz and 2 x of 16oz all depends on the type of sparring i used the 18oz and i could still **** when i wanted too
ya man... but on the winning-usa.com website, they got 2 types of gloves... pro and velcro.... which ones did u get for sparring? im guessing velcro cuz they dont have laces?
use the pro gloves and get your trainer to lace them. i have a few pairs of winning pro gloves, i dont regret spending the money, but dont just buy them because there suppose to be "the best", these gloves are more for defensive fighters or fighters with weaker hands so need extra protection. if you dont fit into these categories you wont benefit from them at all as apose to getting another cheaper pair. if your a power puncher/offensive fighter, get something like everlast or cleto reyes because you will find winning gloves awful and wont suit your style at all.
I dont see the point of spending hat much on the cup. Wouldnt a grant/reyes or everlast cup do as well? the gloves are a dofferent story. I wouldnt buy them for sparring unless you care about your partner that much to spend $200 on those. If you buy them, use them as bag gloves. Your hand is more likely to get bust up hitting bags/pads/mitts than it is wwhen sparring. Your hands will thank you for saving them for fights. ANy other sparring glove will do. I wouldnt say use cleto reyes when sparring but the everlast (pro) are fine. the velcro winning and lace are the same except obviously, for the velcro or lace style. they both use thesame foam pad system in the exact way
