I want to ask, whether anybody knows any decent places to train boxing?
Usually I'm a MMA-guy, but I love boxing too. Besides that, I want to focus on my hands, because I think better hands would improve my specific style more than better kicking and the upper body movement in boxing, which you get taught, is mostly way better than in kickboxing/MT classes.
I'm from Germany and I will study at SDSU for one semester from august 08 til december 08.
I already know a few spots like city boxing, undisputed, throwdown etc. I know they all teach boxing and muay thai. I trained both seperately and I can say (out of my own experience) that you get better boxing in boxing only gyms. (I think that's common sense )
but I don't want to judge those gyms, without having trained there.
So .... are there any advice? recommendations?
thx, very much!
sorry for my moderate english!
