    Diet Solution

Hey guys. Im making this thread because I am tired of seeing countless threads in this forum about miracle diet fads and people who want to loose weight fast. This nutrition plan that I am about to illustrate is for all of you. It is a healthy all around diet for those who are looking to loose weight/body fat and build a lean strong body. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

7 AM- At this time the best solution would be a cup of oatmeal with some milk. Also add in a banana to get your fruit in the morning.

10 AM- I usually prefer to have a handful of almonds to get in all of my omega 3 fatty acids. DO NOT AVOID HAVING FAT. This is a myth and good quality fat is needed in order to loose body fat and weight. Some fruit would also be a good option if you do not have any nuts.

Lunch- For lunch a good lean meat is required. I would recommend chicken breast or a good fish. If you cant cook these bring a can of tuna. Also eat your carbs at this time. Stay away from bread despite whether it is white or wheat. Bread sticks it is not a good carb to have. Eat brown rice, yams, potatoes, or whole wheat pasta. These are good carbs that will give you the energy you need for your workouts. Also make sure that you get in a big serving of vegetables during lunch.

3 PM- At this time you again can have some chicken or fish with a smaller dose of one of the carbs I mentioned. Cottage cheese is also a good choice.

6 PM- ( Post workout) After your workout have an immediate protein shake. Plain and simple.

7 PM- More chicken and fish. Also again eat a good amount of veggies. Fery few to no carbs.

Later Night- NO CARBS. Cottage cheese is a good choice. But i would not recommend eating anything.

This diet is applicable to everyone who wants to loose weight and become lean/ put on muscle. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

The only part I would disagree with is where you say that it is applicable to those wanting to put on muscle.

This is a good weight loss diet though, good post.

would having that protien shake after a workout make you gain weight in general, no matter if its muscle or fat?

What kind of workout? If it's a weightlifting session then you should be taking in protein straight afterwards because your body needs it asap.

If it's after a boxing session then it won't make you gain anything. You need protein to gain muscle, but a gram of protein has less calories than a gram of fat or a gram of carbohydrate.

A protein shake isn't going to make you gain fat either way. It won't make you gain muscle unless you are also doing exercises designed to increase muscle mass.

I also forgot to add that it is good to have some carbs in your protein shake right after your workout.

During schooldays I wake up at 7:15 and go to bed at 0:00.
I have supper at around 19:00... I usually eat a banana, an apple and some waffles at 22:30.
Is that bad? I have never really FELT any problems with my metabolism so I'm just going on doing that.
Also, during weekends etc I wake up at around 9:30 and go to bed at 1:00.
Is it okay to eat at 22:30 then? Since there's still 2:30 hours in between.

(I'm not trying to lose weight btw, just want to be healthy)

Yes but change what you eat. Have some cottage cheese instead late at night. No Carbs.

No its not great for you. I mean its definitely a better option than most other fast food joints but it still should try to be avoided. All there meat is processed and is full of sodium. Try to avoid cold cuts and other highly processed meats.
