Initial impressions: it's VERY light but it feels like it protects well -- makes my old Everlast full-face seem heavy and thin by comparison -- and it's very comfortable. Micro-suede liner and lots of adjustability. Visibility seems good -- as good as you can get without Olympic-style headgear. We'll see what it does in the ring.

headgear looks tight... rival is great bcuz they design gear differently then other brands. like my man said above. its made to shape a skull u know.. not many guys focus on that, they will focus on good padding, or good vision, good straps, etc... and rival also carrys this on with their gloves also. i bought a pair of bag gloves from them bcuz i would always hurt my hands with other gloves.. and these gloves are like pillows on my hands. and they also have a great hook and loop attachment thats so easy to use. these gloves are prolly the best bag gloves out, i cant see anyone making better bag gloves then them... but sparring gloves / fight gloves, i cant say. ive only tried their bag gloves. and i love em.

let me guess you ordered an 80 dollar pair of gloves and by the time they got to your house you had to dish an extra 40 $ right ? ****in legalized crime i tell you lol .

worst part is i even email both of them telling them about the bull**** canadians have to go through and they give you the same old bull**** about " oh well thats the company we use ".

title is one of the two places that charge that amount , because they ship from the states . rival is canadian therefore when you buy direct you dont pay ridiculous border crossing charges... wich r made up to begin with lol.

but isn't it only crazy if it like passes through customs or something. i shuld be fine right? i live in the US so if i order from title i won't get crazy shipping but if i order from rival themselves i will because they are from canada.

yeah if you order from title or ringside your fine , if you were to order from rival directly youd get charged extra ... but you can buy rival gloves on the title site anyways so really you can get any gloves you want .

about the border thing , its funny thats what ups says " oh theres fees cuz of customs and blah blha blah " thats b.s. because it seems like when you order and ship through usps or fed ex you never have to pay those crazy extra fees, even if you do cross the border.
