    Eliptical?

How do you guys feeling about doing work on a eliptical? I have one at my gym and am thinking about starting to use it. I hear that it is just as good as running and is less stressful on your body. Any opinions?

                    It has pros and cons.

Giants you mention that it is less stressful on the body. Do you realize what training is? It is stressing the body, forcing it to adapt and get stronger and fitter. Less stress = weaker workout.

If you have injury problems associated with running (like if you're overweight, and get knee problems), then that thing is a good alternative. Most likely though, most of you in here who swear by that thing, do so because it is in fact easier than running.

The heavier toll running takes on your body can be good and bad. Bad if you get injuries from it, good (as in better than the elliptical) if you don't, because you'll be conditioned to handle the impact running has on your body, so if you're not injured, go running instead and leave that thing for when you're injured.
