had a fight this weekend, it was a last minute kinda thing and i weighed in fine so it was all good. anyway, it was probly the easiest fight i ever had. this dude was throwin straight up bombs in every round, no skill, all i was doin was slippin and weavin and hittin him with the jab to the body. singles, doubles, triples, and sometimes 4 at a time. guy had ZERO defense for the jab to the body. i swear to god for the first 2 rounds, i probly threw like 3 or 4 right hands, and maybe 2 hooks. EVERYTHING was a jab. in the third round i kept jabbin to his body again and landed a regular right hand to the sternum, not even all that strong, and he fell down and when he got up he quit.
so, point of thread, if ur not utilizing the jab to the body, start utilizing that ****. i never used it that much, but my trainer keeps hollaring at me in the gym to use it, and this weekend proves how good it really is. if u got a good jabbin hand, u can really break someone down by goin to the body with rapid, fast jabs and gettin out of the way and jus keep hititn him down there, and when he least expects it, BAM!!
my boys criticized me for a kinda boring fight, but **** them lol. that dude could straight up **** with both hands! ........
