    training outdoors in the cold..more difficult

    did my boxing training outside today..very cold..anyone else
    noticed working outdoors in the cold is more taxing on your lungs?

    yeh it makes it hella harder to breathe..does anyone no if it is effective? i know boxers work out in mountains where it is more difficult to breathe, is working out in cold effective? or can you just catch a lung disease or something

      you can, potentially, freeze your lungs, but it is rare. it is good for your lungs, and body overall, though, to work out in the cold. you burn more calories because it's tougher for your body to maintain a higher body temperature.

      I would like to edit this above post, because of not checking into my facts. YOU CAN NOT FREEZE YOUR LUNGS. i did a little bit of research, and this is a flat out myth that is generally spread by fat people who say you can freeze your lungs in winter and die of dehydration in the summer, and that's why they arent active. there are many marathon runners that live in the canadian arctic and run in temperatures below -30 degrees Fahrenheit.
