Ever been down in a fight?

For those of you guys that fight in the amateurs (or in the pro's, if we have any pro fighters) have you ever been dropped?

As for me, I haven't fought yet, so I guess technically I've never gone down.

I've been knocked down in sparring. Knocked flat with a hook to the head, and been dropped to all fours once and one knee a few times with bodyshots from heavyweights.

Worst I've had yet in a fight is seeing electric purple Cheetos.

I knocked my opponent down in my last fight, a few weeks ago.

Same here. The first time was against a Junior Olympian, he was targeting my solar plexus the whole time but kept missing the mark, he finally hit the target and I took a knee(lol).

The other time, it was against a pro Muay Thai fighter, his name was Alex Gong(RIP), my hands were superior than his and I was actually winning on those exchanges, I kept coming in with hooks and next thing I knew/felt was he planted a back kick to my jaw, I heard several cracking noises on the back of my neck, I don't think he put his full force on the kick(I'd probably would've been KO'D cold if he did) but I chose to go down and layed flat on the ground just happy I wasn't seriously hurt. That day, I finally learned what my coach has been yelling to me the whole time "don't lunge in". I was able to get away with lunging in against less experienced/talented fighters, but not against someone who was considered by many in the U.S Muay Thai scene as one of the best U.S. Muay Thai fighters at that time.

I've only really been hurt once in sparring by a fellow Super Heavyweight sparring partner. He's slighly taller than me at 6'4", a southpaw and hits like a mule. I walked straight into a big straight left. Straight down the middle on my nose. I'd shaken him already in the round and was all confidence advancing on him, then "kapow!"

I had celestial biblical visions for a few seconds! lol I had dried blood up my nose and could smell his glove for the next 3 days! lol
