Im just about to start boxing and want to start training before hand to help me get in better shape. So if theyres ne excercises I could do to improve physically I want to know. also whats the purpose of hitting a tire up and down a parking lot? obviously its a workout but wha does it do? And how does a heavier bag improve power? I have a 75er (only 1 I could find) it used to fly around every which way but I secured it to the floor with 2 rubber bungees ,is that wrong? Ive got a speedbag but the platform is a bit unlevel.

I will be joining as soon as its possible to get there myself i have a car but no license and the gym is in the city...i dont live IN the city(about 15k out). im not about to have 'mommy' or 'daddy' drop me off.
