im maintaining. and it is hard. im trying to stay above 152.... but keep dipping down to the upper 140's. a month and a half ago i was 165. i didnt try to lose the weight... but getting back to trianing after a layoff due to an accident, i couldnt maintain above 160. it wasnt any fat either.
This is my biggest problem. I went from lifting weights to boxing. Losing the chest mass and overall mass hurts. But its the sacrafice I have to make if i want to get faster. I hate loosing all the muscle I worked hard to get. I dont know how but im maintaining. Im running now which I never have and the boxing workouts are very cardiovascular... but somehow im staying the same weight. Just venting.
I do not recommend bulking for boxing. Lifting weights for endurance and strength is good but bulking up is for muscle heads. I have always described a muscle head as somebody who lifted weights to get big so that people will believe that they are bad asses. I say, stay at what ever weight you roll at and work hard at the skill of the game and you will in time become a true bad ass. Skill will leave those bulking muscles laying in a heap of defeat....................Rockin'
lol, im 207 pounds, and 6 foot 1, i used to do boxing 1 and a half years ago (but it was only like 7months straight boxin), i took one year off for my last year of school, and the other half has been for bulking, im gonna keep bulkin for another 6 months, so i can reach about 215-220 pounds.
See if i stop bulking and just hit boxing training, im not gonna have much muscle mass after all my fats been burnt from the intensive cardio in boxing, but if i go after my 6months and shed my body fat, then ill have a good amount of muscle under me, rather than being lanky and cut up.
The reason why i started this thread is because i know that it isnt physically possible to bulk and cut at the same time, unless your a genetic freak. But i know its physically possible to bulk and keep fit. So i just wanted to see if anyone has bulked and boxed at the same time.
I have gained 5kg since i started boxing, (from 70-75kgs) and i'm 5"11, haven't been doing any weights and my body fat has dropped, so i seem to be bulking. I have just been doing body weight and mdicine ball workouts, plus built up my core, but i think i am at a platue. So you canbulk up slightly, but you will hit a limit i think.

Yeah Pushups can be the best bulking ex of all time.
You just have to add weight if they become too easy. The reason I suggest drinking beer is because you need carbs. And when you get a slight buzz you can do pushups until you can't do any more..........and it makes them fun.
Plus beer is loaded with the calories you need to bulk.
I don't want to hear a junior scientist bring the "empty calorie" bull**** argument into play.......that's a myth.
But remember cardio and plenty of protein from Almonds..............Meat is too high in sat fats.
