Well I had my first sparring match under my new trainer. It feels like im starting all over again because his fighting style is so different from my old trainer, yet i can feel that he knows what hes talking about. My first sparring match went not as well as I wanted it to. I was thinking too much i guess trying not to revert to my old boxing style until i caught a mean hook to the head that had me wondering where i was.In the third round i caught him with a hard cross to the throat and reverted to the way i was used to fighting and finish the sparring session really dancing around the ring cause i was still a little dizzy.Yea i kno it was a cheap shot but **** that he had my head ringing and i hate losing even if its a sparring match. Do you think it will be impossible for me to learn this new style of fighting or should i just stick it out and see where it takes me? Ive been training with this coach for 3 months now. ( Also im really new 2 this site and really would appreciate a donation so i can get a pic)

I think changeing trainer is good from time to time and not changing his good depending on releationship.
changing trainers is good because you could have another precpetive view as well as he could see other flaws in you.
As for staying with the same trainer you tend to know each other and understand each other will only by looking

I changed gyms at christmas and had to start doing things very differently - certain traits which i'd been taught and got used to- i was told not to do anymore. I changed my style, stance...tactics. (basically, my previous gym had taught me in a "pro" style - to work on connecting hard instead of scoring points). Fair enough - both styles are in the bank - and in truth as soon as i get hit hard or tired, i revert back to my older more aggressive style.
Just work hard and listen to your trainer - he must know his stuff. If you'd have met him 1st and your old trainer 2nd, then you'd be questioning him too.
Just work hard, listen and try and do your best. It'll all come together soon.
