I generally stand like a Trinidad and try to fire off like him as well. My stance is very wide but I generally move more than Trinidad. I bounce everywhere. I am never stationary.

When I really think about it, not many great, known pros use the "classic" stance (as I will call it for lack of a better name) of keeping the arms very close, left shoulder up to protect chin ect... I guess there are a few, but many more of the greats seem to use more relaxed styles. I guess when your a beginner and have yet to master movement and punches, the "classic" stance would be better being that it keeps you in a good defensive position?
I mean, I may be wrong, but I would think that most boxing trainers wouldnt teach a new comer to stand rather open like tyson even though it is a great position to fire off some great punches. Without the movement and skill it may be a bad stance?
