Keep at it. The power of the punch comes with proper execution. As you get faster, you will hit harder. They go together, not only from the f=ma aspect but that a properly executed punch is a strong punch in and of itself.

I would recommend concentrating on delivering the punches with accuracy and perfect form and not worrying so much about brute force. I am exceptionally physically strong, having had a physical day job for the last several years, and when I started boxing I used to be a brute-force puncher, relying on my strength to get the job done. I'm now a quick, strong puncher, a lot more versatile than I was.

Also, working your legs in the gym -- burpees, squat-jumps, weighted squats, wall sits -- will help your punching power when you're throwing correctly.

yah azza its natural bro. power punches are power punches, and whe nur focused on throwin ur fastet punches, its not power punching. most boxers amatuers/pros all power punch slower then they pop a jab or right hand. so its sall good man, if u wanna work on making ur power punches faster, i dunno, maybe try to shorten em up. thats all i would recommend mang.

          yeah no problem man
i even thought of a good example guy - mickey ward, watch him fight and when he throws his quick combos he has some pretty good handspeed. but then when u see him start smashing guys with his power punches, u can see him load up a bit, and just in general the shots get off slower. i see tons of legends n **** who do that. so its not like its a bad thing ttyl bro

o and heres a lil tip i use to work my handspeed.
if u got little handheld 2.5 pound or 5 pound weights, u hhold those and shadow box, focusing on handspeed n ****, then when u do it with those weights for a while, once u try it without them ur hands feel so much lighter and quicker

are you serious? speed can play a good part, but it is not the only thing - by far. and speed, what speed is it that are you referring to? handspeed is only one kind of speed.
